Overview
The oxygen system supplies oxygen to the flight crew and passengers during cabin depressurization, smoke contamination, or other emergencies. Four oxygen storage cylinders supply oxygen to the flight crew and passengers. Oxygen is available to the crew through quick donning, pressure demand-type face-masks with mask-mounted regulators. The oxygen system is filled through a ground servicing panel at the nose of the aircraft on the left hand side.
An Altimetric Valve, in the copilot’s console in the flight compartment controls automatic and manual deployment of the passenger’s oxygen masks, and the availability of oxygen to the passenger masks.
The Global Express oxygen system is certified to 51,000 ft (15,544.80 m). All passenger oxygen equipment installed must be certified for operation up to 40,000 ft (12,307.69 m) cabin altitude (maximum).
During flights above 41,000 ft at least one of the Flight Crew must wear and use the Full Face or optional Half mask; this is an operational requirement.
The Completion Center must meet the requirement, design standards and operationalrequirements as required by the country of registration.
