Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Engine Power Pull-back to Idle during Ground Operation

Several events were reported to Bombardier where engines did not respond to throttle command without an amber L/R FADEC FAIL message being posted on Engine Indicating Crew Alerting System (EICAS). In all cases, this condition occurred during ground operation and the engines recovered full functionality after an engine shut down.

Rolls Royce NTO 175- Nuisance Cockpit Effects and Fault Messages

Prior to validating if a CAIMS message should be considered a nuisance fault, Operators shall confirm the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) software version installed on the affected engine based on the effectivity table provided by the NTO-175.
