Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Overview

The service panels give access to some of the service points on the aircraft.

Lower Nose Compartment Panel

The lower nose compartment panel is located on the left side of the nose fuselage structure. It provides access to the lower nose compartment and to the hydraulic brake controls, NLG extension/retraction controls and to the steering hydraulic controls.

It is made from graphite and attaches to the aircraft structure with hinges and quick release latches.

Forward Equipment Compartment Access Panel

There are two forward equipment compartment access panels, one on either side of the nose fuselage structure, aft of the front pressure bulkhead. They provide access to flight controls and equipment installed in the nose fuselage below the cockpit floor.

Avionics Compartment Access Panels

There are two avionics compartment access panels. The internal panel is between FS280.00 and FS312.00 and LBL9.00 and RBL9.00 for Global Express/XRS and between FS280.00+32.00 and FS312.00+32.00 and LBL9.00 and RBL9.00 for Global 5000 in the passenger compartment. The external avionics compartment access panel is found on the bottom of the forward fuselage structure, aft of the nose landing gear. The access panels give access to the equipment and components found in the forward and main avionics compartments below the cabin floor (WL71.50).

Dorsal Fairing Access Panel

The dorsal fairing access panel is installed on the dorsal fairing immediately below the vertical stabilizer leading edge. It gives access to the HF coupler.

External Services Panel

The external service panel is installed below the baggage door on the left side of the aft fuselage, this door provides access to the AC external power receptacle and the Aft Service control panel, which provides indicators for external services, a lamp test switch, an APU shut off switch and mike/headphone connections.
