Overview
The nose fuselage is found between FS144.00 and FS280.00 for Global Express/XRS and between FS144.00+32.00 and FS280.00+32.00 for Global 5000 and includes the flight compartment. Doors and panels give access to different parts and equipment of the aircraft.

Forward Pressure Bulkhead
The forward pressure bulkhead is installed at FS202.75 for Global Express/XRS and at FS202.75+32.00 for Global 5000 and seals the front end of the fuselage pressurized zone. The Bulkhead is made from a web that is made stronger by stiffeners. The stiffeners are attached to the adjacent skins, stringers, and floor structure.

Flight Compartment Bulkhead
The flight compartment bulkhead is installed at FS280.00 for Global Express/XRS and at FS280.00+32.00 for Global 5000. It divides the flight compartment from the passenger compartment. The bulkhead is installed around the fuselage frame. It is made from two vertical members attached to the fuselage floor structure and to the top of the fuselage frame. The panels at each side of the doorway are made from skin panels made stronger with vertical and horizontal stiffeners. The bulkhead also holds the circuit breaker panel of the flight compartment and the doorway which is in the center of the bulkhead.

Surround Structure for the Forward Equipment Compartment-Door
The surround structure for the forward equipment compartment-door extend from FS169.00 and FS193.00 for Global Express/XRS and from FS169.00+32.00 and FS193.00+32.00 for Global 5000. It is on the top of the forward fuselage left and right sides. The surround structure supplies the attachment for the door hinge brackets. The structure has the components that follow:
- Sealing Strips Along the Top and Front Edges
- Two Top Corner Pieces
- One Door Landing Along the Bottom Edges
The door landings have been treated along the edges to make an electrically-conductive lightning path.

Attachment Fittings for the Forward Equipment Compartment-Door
Two hinge assemblies are attached to the surround structure of each forward equipment compartment-door. Two latch fittings attach the door to a stringer at FS177.69 and FS188.90 for Global Express/XRS and at FS177.69+32.00 and FS188.90+32.00 for Global 5000. Quick-release fasteners are used to latch the door in the closed position.

Surround Structure for the Ram Air Turbine (RAT) Compartment-Door
The surround structure for the ram air turbine compartment door extends from FS169.00 and FS193.00 for Global Express/XRS and from FS169.00+32.00 and FS193.00+32.00 for Global 5000. It is on the lower right side of the fuselage. The surround structure above each door is made from two upper door landings, upper channels, hinge fitting assemblies, and one bracket. The remaining surround structure is made from two lower door landings, lower channels, and edge members.

Attachment Fittings for the Ram Air Turbine (RAT)
There are two attachment fittings for the ram air turbine. One inboard fitting and one outboard fitting, installed at the right FS202.75 for Global Express/XRS and at the right FS202.75+32.00 for Global 5000. The inboard fitting is supplied with two bushings and the outboard fitting is supplied with one bushing.

Attachment Fittings for the Nose Landing Gear to the Fuselage
The nose landing gear is attached to the fuselage structure by two pairs of trunnions. They are installed at FS216.25 and FS243.88 for Global Express/XRS and at FS216.25+32.00 and FS243.88+32.00 for Global 5000 on beams in the NLG wheel well. The aft trunnions hold the leg pivot of the nose landing gear. The forward trunnions hold the drag strut pivot. Each trunnion has bushings attached to it. Vertical and diagonal members on the left and right wheel well webs make the structure stronger.

Attachment Fittings for the Nose Landing Gear to the Door
Two hinge fittings attach the aft door to the nose landing gear wheel-well beams at FS248.20 for Global Express/XRS and at FS248.20+32.00 for Global 5000. Each hinge fitting is supplied with a bearing.
Two hinge fittings attach the forward door to the wheel well beams at FS175.40 and at FS197.26 for Global Express/XRS and at FS175.40+32.00 and at FS197.26+32.00 for Global 5000. Each hinge fitting is supplied with a bushing.

Floor Support Structure
The floor support structure for the flight compartment extends from FS202.75 to FS280.00 for Global Express/XRS and from FS202.75+32.00 to FS280.00+32.00 for Global 5000. It is made from connected longitudinal front beams and lateral beams. The lateral beams are attached to the fuselage frames. Lightweight floor panels that can be removed are installed on the floor structure.

Pilot's and Copilot's Seat Rails
Dual seat rails are installed in the flight compartment. The rails have large lower flanges for attachment to the floor structure. The seat rails are installed at BL12.00 and BL26.00 on the left and right sides.
Pins in the seat structure align with locking holes in the rails to attach the seat in the correct position. Set stops at the front and rear ends of the seat rails keep the travel of the seats to a limit. Slots in the top flange of each seat rail permit to disengage the seat for removal and
installation.

Aircraft Jack Fitting
One jack fitting is supplied to permit to lift the nose fuselage. The jack fitting is attached with rivets to the intercostal installed between FS265.00 and FS280.00 for Global Express/XRS and between FS265.00+32.00 and FS280.00+32.00 for Global 5000. It is installed on the center line, at the bottom of the nose fuselage.

Nose Fuselage Floor
The nose fuselage floor is installed between FS202.75 and FS280.00 for Global Express/XRS and between FS202.75+32.00 and FS280.00+32.00 for Global 5000 and includes the flight compartment floor. The flight compartment floor is made from a center walkway with higher floor areas on each side. The center walkway is level with the passenger compartment floor.
The higher floor area is found at WL79.50 and holds the pilot's and copilot's seats.
