WHITE MESSAGE
Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The RAM AIR Pushbutton of the BLEED AIR Control Panel is not set to the ON position.

Possible Causes:

  • RAM AIR Pushbutton/BLEED AIR Control Panel
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the BLEED AIR control panel, make sure that the RAM AIR pushbutton switch is not set to ON
  2. Swap PBAs.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. On the BLEED AIR control panel, perform wiring checks for an open circuit between the pins of the connectors and aircraft ground that follow:

    AP8J1 AIRCRAFT GROUND
    pin 7 Ground

    1. If there is continuity to ground, continue.
    2. If there is no continuity to ground, go to step 5.

  4. Replace BLEED AIR control panel.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. If there is no continuity, repair or replace the associated wiring.
  6. Do close out.
