Fault Description:

FIDEEX has detected an open circuit in one of the two left engine squib bridge circuit of Fire Bottle 1.

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

WARNING: BEFORE YOU REMOVE/CONNECT ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS FROM/TO THE FIDEEX SYSTEM, MAKE SURE THAT YOU REMOVE ALL ELECTRICAL POWER FROM THE FIDEEX SYSTEM. KEEP THE ELECTRICAL POWER OFF UNTIL ALL CONNECTORS ARE SAFELY ATTACHED AND NO PERSONS ARE IN THE AFT EQUIPMENT COMPARTMENT. YOU DO THIS TO MAKE SURE THAT THE DISCHARGE CARTRIDGES DO NOT FIRE ACCIDENTALLY.

THE DISCHARGE CARTRIDGES ARE ELECTRICALLY-FIRED EXPLOSIVE DEVICES WHICH CAN ACCIDENTALLY ENERGIZE. THIS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS OR DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT.

  1. Perform wiring check between FIREX Bottle 1 (A111P1) and FIDEEX CU (A106P1). Repair as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Replace the Discharge Cartridges on FIREX Bottle 1 (left engine discharge).

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.
