Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The FMQGC will display a Right Recirculation Failed on the EICAS when one of the following conditions are met:

  • The applicable FRTT valve is not in the commanded position

    Right Fuel Return To Tank (FRTT) Shut-off Valve is commanded open
    Right FRTT Shut-off Valve indication is closed

    OR
    Right FRTT Shut-off Valve is commanded closed
    Right FRTT Shut-off Valve indication is open

  • The automatic FRTT configuration pin mismatch detected between FMQGC CH A and CH B.
  • Engine N1 is less than 42% and does not provide FRTT with enough fuel pressure to operate.

Possible Causes:

  • Right Fuel Return To Tank (FRTT) Shut-off Valve
  • FUEL Control Panel (AP5)
  • Relay K4 in Junction Box JB6
  • Power Source (APU BATT DIR BUS)
  • Fuel Management Quantity and Gauging Computer (FMQGC) (A47)
  • Engine Fuel Flow is too low
  • N1 is less than 42%
  • Associated Wiring
