- The R RECIRC switch/light on the FUEL control panel is set to ON.
- The right FRTT shut-off valve is open.
- The right engine fuel return to tank system is commanded on.
- The engine fuel flow is not less than 2,000 lb/hr (910 kg/hr).
This troubleshooting applies when it is not under normal conditions.
NOTE: This troubleshooting sheet is for Global Express 9002 through 9110 not incorporating SB 700-28-034. This troubleshooting sheet is for the aircraft with the manual Fuel Return To Tank (FRTT) system.
Possible Causes:
- Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) (A47)

- Gain access to the FMQGC (A47) and remove FMQGC from the tray.
- Perform the wiring continuity test per the table below:
SWITCH POSITION FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT R RECIRC SW DEPRESSED (ON) A47AP1 - K11 Airframe Ground Continuity - If the wiring check is good, go to step 6.
- If the wiring check is not good, then continue with next step.
- Remove the fuel control panel (AP5), and disconnect AP5P2.
- Perform the wiring continuity test per the table below:
FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT AP5J2 - 26 AP5J2 - 18 Continuity AP5P2 - 18 Airframe Ground Continuity - If the wiring from AP5J2 - 26 to AP5J2 - 18 is not good, then suspect the R RECIRC Switch (SDS6) or the Fuel Control Panel.
- If the wiring from AP5P2 - 18 to airframe ground is not good, then repair or replace wiring to GS160 or GS160.
- If the wiring check is good, continue with the next step.
- Perform the wiring continuity test per the table below:
FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT A47AP1 - K11 AP5P2 - 26 Continuity - If the wiring check is good then continue with the next step.
- If the wiring from A47AP1 - K11 to AP5P2 - 26 is not good, repair or replace wiring from Fuel Control Panel to the FMQGC.
- Re-install or re-rack the FMQGC making sure it is fully and properly pushed into place. Is the fault still present?
- If the CAS does not display, then go to next step.
- If the CAS displays, then do close out.
- Suspect the FMQGC (A47).
- Do close out.
