Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Using the PMAT, access the Active Faults/Stored Faults as per AMM Tasks.
  2. Select related CAIMS message below:
  3. Measure for 115 VAC inputs to HBMU 2 as follow:

    From To Expected Result Result
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-B Ground 115V AC
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-L Ground 115V AC
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-E Ground 115V AC
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-A Ground 115V AC
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-H Ground 115V AC

  4. Are the results good?

    1. If all 115 VAC inputs present, go to step 7.
    2. If any of the 115 VAC inputs is missing, continue with next step.

  5. Perform wiring checks between HBMU2 and Cockpit Circuit Breaker Panel (CCBP).

    From To Expected Result Result
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-B CCBP -A35P/J3-G Continuity
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-L CCBP -A35P/J3-E Continuity
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-E CCBP -A35P/J3-H Continuity
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-A CCBP -A35P/J2-E Continuity
    HBMU 2 - A93P1-H CCBP -A35P/J5-A Continuity

  6. Are the results good?

    1. If YES, continue with next step
    2. If NO, repair as required and do close out.

  7. Measure for 28 VDC inputs to HBMU 2

    From To Expected Result Result
    HBMU 2 - A93P2-1 Ground 28V DC

  8. Are the results good?

    1. If YES, go to step 12.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  9. Perform wiring check between HBMU 2 and SPDA 2.

    From To Expected Result Result
    HBMU 2 - A93P2-1 SPDA 2- A16P3-B Continuity

  10. Are the results good?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, repair as required and do close out.

  11. Interchange the SPDA 2, does system checks good?

    1. If YES, do the close out.
    2. If NO, continue with the next step.

  12. Interchange HBMUs replace defective unit.
  13. Do close out.
