CAS MMEL RELIEF

CAS MMEL RELIEF an alternative to the standard method of MMEL dispatch relief, as is normally achieved through fault isolation procedures, and subsequent dispatch under the LRU/Component MMEL relief. CAS MMEL Relief has been developed with the objective of minimizing the requirement for maintenance personnel to be available, largely allowing flight crews to dispatch from the displayed CAS (Crew Alerting System) message, without specifically identifying failed LRUs or components.

NOTE: Not all possible CAS messages from the Global Express have been assessed, nor will all possible messages be suitable for dispatching under these rules. Where relief is not offered under CAS MMEL Relief, the standard method of MMEL relief determination remains as available. Through this allowance, operators are encouraged to expand flight crew maintenance training for maximum benefit of this section.
