Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2 consecutive electronic rigging (Dual rig) procedure

NOTE: This procedure is for reference only. The complete rigging procedure is written in AMM TASK 27-51-05-820-801.

  1. Make sure Time and date is set correctly on the cockpit clocks.
  2. Set the SLAT FLAP Control Lever to SLATS IN and FLAPS 0°.
  3. Make sure the SLATS are IN and FLAPS at 0°.
  4. Using the PMAT, access CAIMS and make the following selections:

    • Select SYSTEM DIAG
    • Select ATA 27
    • Select SLAT/FLAP CONTROL UNIT #1 (#2)
    • Select LRU TEST
    • Select SLATS RIGGING
    • Select CONFIRM
    • Highlight SLAT RIG ENABLE COMMAND and push SELECT
    • Highlight SLAT RIG COMMAND and push SELECT
    • Select TEST CMPLT
    • When SLATS rigging is complete select "FLAPS RIGGING"
    • Select CONFIRM
    • Highlight FLAP RIG ENABLE COMMAND and push SELECT
    • Highlight FLAP RIG COMMAND and push SELECT
    • Select TEST CMPLT

  5. Disregard any CAS or CAIMS fault messages.
  6. Once SLAT and FLAP rigging is performed, repeat step 4 to do a second SLATS and FLAPS rigging.
  7. Disregard any CAS or CAIMS fault messages.
  8. Remove complete power from the aircraft.
  9. Apply power to the aircraft and perform a Slat Flap System operational test.
  10. The SFCU should now be clear of latched faults and NVM memory should have recorded the new rigging data.
