Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Gain access to the HPA. Disconnect connector A229AP1. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A229AP1-B5 A229AP1-D5

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  2. Disconnect SDU connector A228BP1. Disconnect Antenna Driver Unit connector A227P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A228BP1-G4 Ground
    A228BP1-H4 Ground
    A228BP1-G4 A228BP1-H4

    1. If there is continuity, check JB6 wiring or repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    A228BP1-G4 A229AP1-A1
    A228BP1-H4 A229AP1-B1

    1. If there is no continuity, check JB6 wiring or repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Replace the HPA. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  5. Replace the SDU.
  6. Do close out.
