Fault Description:
The Coax Cable from the High Power Amplifier Low Noise Amplifier (HGA LNA) to the Radio Frequency Unit (RFU) is at fault. For the MCS-7000 installation, the RFU is not external to the Satellite Data Unit (SDU).

- Satellite Data Unit (SDU) (A228)
- Radio Frequency Unit (RFU) (A240)
- Diplexer/Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) (A230)
- Coaxial Cable
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Disconnect LNA connector A230P2 and RFU connector A240AP1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A230P2 center conductor Ground A230P2 center conductor Shield - If there is continuity, repair defective Coax cable as required and do close out.
- If there is no continuity, continue with next step.
- Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Result A230P2 center conductor A240AP1-71 - If there is continuity, continue with next step.
- If there is no continuity, repair defective Coax cable as required and do close out.
- Replace the LNA. Is the fault still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, do close out.
- Replace the RFU. Is the fault still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, do close out.
- Replace the SDU.
- Do close out.
