Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Set when configuration module access fails and cleared when configuration module access succeeds.

Possible Causes:

  • Airborne Data-Link Unit (ADLU) (A239)
  • Associated Wiring

The configuration module cannot be accessed. Check configuration module.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Remove the Airborne Data-Link Unit Configuration Module. Inspect the module to make sure that the wires between Configuration Module and the ADLU are connected as follows:

    Configuration Module ADLU Result
    TCZ 0435 Y A239AP1-C11
    TCZ 0435 R A239AP1-D11
    TCZ 0435 B A239AP1-C12
    TCZ 0435 BN A239AP1-D12

  2. Are the wires between Configuration Module and the ADLU connected correctly?

    1. If NO, reconnect the wires between configuration module and the ADLU as per table above and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  3. Replace the Airborne Data-Link Unit Configuration Module (ADLU Configuration Module is faulty).
  4. Do close out.
