Fault Description:
Airborne Data-Link Unit (ADLU) ARINC 429 Receiver #7 firmware failure.
Possible Causes:
- Airborne Data Link Unit (ADLU) (A239)
- Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 1 (A17)
- Associated Wiring

This Receiver is used for DAU 1. ADLU may be displayed in red color on CAIMS PMAT.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks, short to ground and pin/socket retention check between the Airborne Data-Link Unit (ADLU) connector A239BP1 and DAU 1 connector A17CP1. Is it satisfactory?
- If NO, repair or replace the defective wiring as required per WM 20-12 and do close out.
- If YES, verify that CAIMS fault code 2320017TDY "ADLU ARINC RX 7 FAULT" is not displayed on PMAT and continue with next step.
- Is the CAIMS message/fault code still present?
- If NO, do close out.
- If YES, continue with next step.
- Replace the Airborne Data-Link Unit (ADLU) (ADLU ARINC 429 Receiver #7 is faulty).
- Do close out.
