Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

AC Power Center (ACPC) External A/D Converter Card has failed it’s power on Built-In Test or the continuous Built-In Test.

Possible Causes:

  • AC Power Center (ACPC) External A/D Converter Card
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Do a complete aircraft power reset. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, monitor for failure and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  2. Access the ACPC logic assembly. Remove the A/D converter card. Inspect the cards connectors and the motherboard connector. Look for any bent or degraded contacts.

    1. If contacts are found damaged, replace defective component (ACPC or A/D converter card) and do close out.
    2. If all contacts are good, continue with next step.

  3. Carefully reinstall the A/D converter card properly. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  4. Replace A/D converter card. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  5. Replace ACPC.
  6. Do close out.
