WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Secondary Logic Card 2 (SLC 2) detects a discrepancy between the coil drive status and auxiliary contact status of K19 Contactor.

Possible Causes:

  • AC Power Center (ACPC) Contactor (K19)
  • Secondary Logic Card (SLC) 2
  • Electronic Module (EM1)
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) (A54)
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) TB202
  • AC Power Center (ACPC) TB601
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap SLC 2 with SLC 1.

    1. If system checks are good, replace SLC 2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a voltage check on K19-X1, K19-Y1 and ground.

    1. If there is no voltage and there are no CAIMS messages related to EM1 fuses (F1, F2, F3 and F4), verify TB202-3.
    2. If there is no voltage and there are CAIMS messages related to EM1 Fuses (F1, F2, F3 and F4), troubleshoot these messages first.

  3. If there is 28 VDC, remove SLC 2 and disconnect K19-X1, K19-X2, K19-Y1, K19-Y2, K19-11 and K19-12.
  4. Perform a continuity check between the connections that follows:

    From To Result
    K19-11 (lug) Ground

    1. If there is no continuity, check the connection of TB202-7 and TB601-6 and repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with the next step.

  5. Perform a continuity check between the connections that follows:

    From To Result
    K19-Y2 (lug) Ground
    K19-X2 (lug) Ground
    K19-12(lug) Ground

    1. If there is continuity, replace ACPC and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Perform a continuity check between the connections that follows:

    From To Result
    K19-Y2 (lug) SLC 2 P211A-12
    K19-X2 (lug) SLC 2 P211A-13
    K19-12 (lug) SLC 2 P211C-17

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  7. Replace K19.
  8. Do close out.
