Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Remove power from the A/C. Access K2 in the CCBP. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-11 K2-12
    K2-A1 K2-A2
    K2-B1 K2-B2
    K2-C1 K2-C2

    1. If there is continuity on one or more of the above checks, replace K2 and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-X1 K2-A1

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue next step.

  3. Disconnect ETTC K2-12. Access the DCPC logic assembly and remove all three PLC. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-12 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, repair defective aircraft wiring as required or replace DCPC if defect is inside the DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  4. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-12 P110B-34
    K2-12 P210B-34
    K2-12 P310B-34

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective aircraft wiring as required or replace DCPC if defect is inside DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-11 Ground

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  6. Perfom a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-X2 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, repair defective wiring as required or replace DCPC if defect is inside DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  7. Perform a continuity check between K2 (CCBP) and K12 (DCPC) as follows:

    From To Result
    K2-X2 K12-B2

    1. If there is no continuity, repair defective aircraft wiring as required or replace DCPC if defect is inside the DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K12-B1 K12-B2

    1. If there is continuity, replace K12 and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  9. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K12-B1 Ground

    1. If there is no continuity, verify connection and if properly connected, replace DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  10. Remove the BATT/RAT IF card from the DCPC Logic assembly. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K12-X1 Ground
    K12-X2 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, replace DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  11. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K12-X1 P410A-48
    K12-X2 P110C-12
    K12-X2 P210C-12
    K12-X2 P310C-12

    1. If there is no continuity, replace DCPC and do close out.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  12. Reconnect any component that was disconnected during troubleshooting. Reinstall the BATT/RAT IF Card. Reinstall PLC 2 and PLC 3 only. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 1 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  13. Remove power from the A/C. Remove PLC 2 and reinstall PLC 1. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 2 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  14. Remove power from the A/C. Remove PLC 3 and reinstall PLC 2. Apply power to the A/C. Is the fault still present?

    1. If NO, replace the PLC 3 and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  15. Remove power from the A/C. Access ETTC K2 in the CCBP. Apply power to the A/C. On the EMSCDU, push on the red “EMER CONT” button and turn AC 1 to 'OFF'. Perform a continuity check as follows:

    From To Result
    K12-X2 Ground

    1. If there is continuity, replace K2 and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  16. Replace the BATT/RAT IF card.
  17. Do close out.
