CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Channel A of the Stall Protection Computer receives no ARINC labels from Channel A or Channel B of Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3.

Possible Causes:

  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) Channel A
  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) (A40)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the CAIMS PMAT, get access to the active faults for DAU 3A and DAU 3B. Check if CAIMS shows an internal fault for DAU 3A or DAU 3B.

    1. If CAIMS shows an internal fault for DAU 3A or DAU 3B, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If CAIMS does not show an internal fault for DAU 3A or DAU 3B, continue with next step.

  2. Check if CAIMS still shows DAU #3A/DAU #3B/WRG/SPC CH A I/F.

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between DAU 3 (A30CP1) and SPC (A40AP1).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Replace SPC.
  5. Do close out.
