CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Channel B of the Stall Protection Computer receives no ARINC labels from Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 or SFCU 2.

Possible Causes:

  • Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 1 (A124)
  • Slat/Flap Control Unit (SFCU) 2 (A95)
  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) Channel B
  • Stall Protection Computer (SPC) (A40)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the CAIMS PMAT, get access to the active faults for SFCU 1 and SFCU 2. Check if there is an internal fault for SFCU 1 or SFCU 2.

    1. If YES, replace the applicable SFCU and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. On the CAIMS PMAT, get access to the active faults for SPC 1 and SPC 2. Check if CAIMS - SFCU #2/SFCU #1/WRG/SPC CH B I/F message still exist.

    1. If CAIMS - SFCU #2/SFCU #1/WRG/SPC CH B I/F message does not exist, do close out.
    2. If CAIMS - SFCU #2/SFCU #1/WRG/SPC CH B I/F message still exists, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between SFCU 2 (A95AP1) and SPC B (A40BP1); and between SFCU 1 (A124AP1) and SPC A (A40AP1).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Replace SPC.
  5. Do close out.
