Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Oxygen pressure has fallen to a low level below 1,400 psi (75%), an Oxygen Bottle Pressure Switch is indicating < 45 psi (bottle discharge), a failed Pressure Switch, a Shutoff Valve has been left closed following maintenance action.

Possible Causes:

  • Oxygen Storage Cylinder
  • Pressure Transducer (MT132)
  • Pressure Switch (S48)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Swap DAU 3 with DAU 4.

    1. If system checks are good, replace DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks between DAU 3, Oxygen Pressure Transducer, Oxygen pressure switches and SPDA 1.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Replace defective Oxygen pressure switch.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step

  4. Replace Oxygen Pressure Transducer.
  5. Do close out.
