WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

After Equipment Bay Door Proximity Sensor has been detected failed by the Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LG ECU).

Possible Causes:

  • After Equipment Bay Door Proximity Sensor
  • Landing-Gear Electronic Control-Unit (LG ECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks of the After Equipment Bay Door Proximity Sensor wires between the LGECU connector A52AP1 and splice SP700. (A52AP1-C9 to P628-N to SP700 and A52AP1-D9 to P628-P to SP700).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a inspection and wiring checks of splice SP700 contacts/pins.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a visual inspection of the wires/harness between After Equipment Bay Door Proximity Sensor and splice SP700. Repair as required.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Re-seat LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace After Equipment Bay Door Proximity Sensor.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace LGECU.
  7. Do close out.
