Fault Description:
There is an unsatisfactory difference between the Throttle Resolver Angle (TRA) data signals to the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC). These TRA data signals go to channel A and channel B of the EEC. These circuits are continuously monitored by the Full-Authority Digital Engine-Controller (FADEC).
Possible Causes:
- Throttle Quadrant Assembly (AP41)
- Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
- These signals are sent by two independent Rotary-Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT) for channel A and channel B to the EEC.
- TRA RVDT angles can be read using CAIMS, System Diagnostic, LRU Test, Throttle Quadrant Data page.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Carry out an operational test of the interface between the throttle quadrant and the EEC. Check CH A and CH B TRA RVDT values for discrepancies. Are the TRA values for channel A and channel B correct?
- If YES, go to step 3.
- If NO, continue with next step.
- Adjust the throttles to get the correct TRA values for channel A and channel B.
- Perform the operational test of the interface between the throttle quadrant and the EEC again.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace TRA.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Replace Right EEC.
- Do close out.
