Message Overview:

Fault Message:

R EEC CH A FAULT[7]

Fault Code:

7325424RBR

Associated CAS:

R FADEC FAIL
(Caution)

Reporting LRU: Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
System Description: 76-10-00
Schematic Diagram: 76-10-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 71-50-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

There is an internal fault in the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC). This message can be related to a problem in the IOP harness between the EEC and the Fuel Metering Unit (FMU). If the CAIMS message R IOP CH A WRG/FMU[IOP SOL] shows, you must do that fault isolation procedure first.

NOTE: The incidence of L (R) IOP CH A WRG/FMU[IOP SOL] can cause damage to the EEC during the checks of IOP shutdown. If any faults are not corrected, damage to the replacement EEC can occur.

Possible Causes:

  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Fuel Metering Unit (FMU)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Using the CAIMS, clear the EEC memory.
NOTE: THIS FAULT MESSAGE IS STORED / LATCHED WITHIN THE EEC NVM. CYCLING OF THE EEC POWER OR SWAPPING OF THE EEC TO ANOTHER ENGINE WILL NOT CLEAR THE FAULT / EICAS MESSAGE.
  2. Perform an engine run and shut down to confirm if CAIMS message R IOP CH A WRG/FMU[IOP SOL] or R EEC CH A FAULT[7] shows.

    1. If the fault R EEC CH A FAULT[7] shows, continue with step 4.
    2. If both fault messages show or none, continue with next step.

  3. Make sure to troubleshoot the CAIMS Fault message R IOP CH A WRG/FMU [IOP SOL] first.

    1. If both fault indications are gone, do close out.
    2. If fault message remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace Right EEC.
  5. Do close out.
