Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Overview:

Fault Message:

L TRA RIGGING FAULT

Fault Code:

7326128LBR

Associated CAS:

L THROTTLE FAIL
(Caution)

Reporting LRU: Left Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
System Description: 76-10-00
Schematic Diagram: 76-10-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 71-50-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
76-10-01 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

Channel A and B Throttle Resolver Angle (TRA) signals to the Engine Electronic Controller (EEC) agrees but are out of range. These signals are sent by the Rotary Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT) for channel A and the RVDT for channel B. These circuits are continuously monitored by the Full-Authority Digital Engine-Controller (FADEC).

Possible Causes:

  • Throttle Quadrant Assembly (AP41)
  • Throttle Resolver Angle (TRA)
  • Left Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin: None

Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None

  1. These signals are sent by two independent Rotary-Variable Differential Transformer (RVDT) for channel A and channel B to the EEC.
  2. TRA RVDT angles can be read using CAIMS, System Diagnostic, LRU Test, Throttle Quadrant Data page.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform an operational test of the interface between the throttle quadrant and the Left EEC. Check CH A and CH B TRA RVDT values for discrepancies. Are the TRA values for channel A and channel B correct?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, adjust the throttles to get the correct TRA values for channel A and channel B and continue with next step.

  2. Perform the operational test of the interface between the throttle quadrant and the Left EEC again.

    1. If the system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. For TRA RVDT CH A, perform a wiring checks between connector Throttle Quadrant Assembly (AP41P2) and Left EEC (P1046).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. For TRA RVDT CH B, perform a wiring checks between connector Throttle Quadrant Assembly (AP41P3) and Left EEC (P1048).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  5. Swap Left EEC with Right EEC.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace left EEC and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace TRA.
  7. Do close out.
