Left Engine Low Pressure (LP) system requires trim balancing.

Possible Causes:

  • Engine Low Pressure (LP) System
  • LHE N1 vibration >= 0.5 ips (green)

NOTES:

  • When performing the EMM 71-00-00-866-816 - Low Pressure (LP) Compressor (Fan) Trim Balance if the raw balance solution from CAIMS is the selected method, ensure that the existing figures are noted before performing any engine runs. As this will require the EVMU to capture 6 new engine runs before computation of data will indicate in the RAW data calculations.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform Operational check of the EVHMU.

    1. Interrogate CAIMS and record fault occurrences. 
    2. Check for occurrences of fault message L ENG FAN - TRIM BALANCE

  2. Perform a visual inspection of the LHE LP compressor blades.

    1. If damage is not found, continue with next step.
    2. Do the fan trim balance procedure on the RHE.

  3. Do close out and record troubleshooting actions undertaken in maintenance logbook, if fault does not appear.
