Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the Cockpit Light (Flood/Display) Control Panel, turn the LH side console lights or RH Side Console Lights to BRT.
  2. Disconnect the Cockpit Light (Flood/Display) Control Panel connectors (AP26P1 and AP26P2). Measure the voltage 28 VDC at connectors as follows:
For the LH side console lights:

Side Console Lights From To Result
    DS46 SP493-B2 GS565 (Ground)
    DS47 SP493-B1 GS565 (Ground)
    DS72 SP493-A2 GS565 (Ground)

For the RH side console lights:

Side Console Lights From To Result
    DS51 SP485-B1 GS564 (Ground)
    DS52 SP485-B2 GS564 (Ground)
    DS73 SP485-A1 GS564 (Ground)

    1. If there is no voltage, go to step 5.
    2. If there is voltage, replace the bulb of the unserviceable side console light and continue with next step.

  3. Check if the bulb is serviceable.

    1. If the bulb is unserviceable, replace the defective bulb and do close out.
    2. If the bulb is serviceable, continue with next step.

  4. Disconnect the applicable flood light and connectors from the flood light control panel (A27). Perform a continuity check for the flood light between the pins or terminals as follows:
For the RHS flood light DS51:

    From To Result
    DS51-TBG3721 AP27P2-17
    DS51-TBG0001N GS564 (Ground)

For the RHS flood light DS52:

    From To Result
    DS52-TBJ3724 AP27P2-17
    DS52-TBJ3725N GS564

For the RHS flood light DS73:

    From To Result
    DS73-TDD1188 AP27P2-17
    DS73-TDD1189N GS564

For the LHS flood light DS47:

    From To Result
    DS47-TBH3727 AP27P1-17
    DS47-TBH0001N GS565

For the LHS flood light DS46:

    From To Result
    DS46-TBK3731 AP27P1-17
    DS46-TBJ3725N GS564

For the LHS flood light DS72:

    From To Result
    DS72-TDC1214 AP27P1-17
    DS72-TDC1373N GS565

    1. If there is no continuity, repair or replace the defective wiring as required and continue with next step.
    2. If there is continuity, continue with next step.

  5. Connect the disconnected connectors and perform the operational test of the Flood Lights.

    1. If the operational test is satisfactory, do close out.
    2. If the operational test is not satisfactory, continue with next step.
