Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

This gives an indication that no vibration data is transmitted for the Right Engine.

  • Vibration Transducer
  • Engine Vibration Monitoring Unit (EVMU) (A42)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Check the Part Number of the EVMU and if it is prior to B14 review the NTO bulletin 88. See TS tips above for link to bulletin.
  2. Access CAIMS active or stored faults. Check if the fault message EVMU [VIBRATION CARD] FAULT is displayed.

    1. If the fault message is displayed, replace the Right EVMU and continue with next step.
    2. If the fault message is not displayed, continue with next step.

  3. Check if one of the following fault messages appear in CAIMS:

    1. If the fault message is displayed, perform the applicable troubleshooting procedure and continue with next step.
    2. If the fault message is not displayed, continue with next step.

  4. Use the troubleshooting procedures in the above CAIMS messages to troubleshoot the system further.
  5. Do close out.
