Fault Description:
The flight director and/or autopilot functions of AFCS 1 do not operate.
Possible Causes:
- Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC) Battery
- Guidance Control Panel and/or related Interfaces
- Automatic Flight Control System (AFCS) Functions in Integrated Avionics Computer (IAC) 1 (A11)

NOTE: If AFCS 1 FAIL is displayed at the same time as YD 1 FAIL, the messages could be a nuisance caused by exiting the CAIMS PMAT or performing an NVM download. Refer to the AFCS/YD CAS message clearing procedure.
