Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Using the PMAT, access CAIMS to view active or stored faults. Select displayed message from menu below:
- If no message is displayed, continue with next step.
- Check the gauge pressure indication on the FIREX bottle.
- If gauge shows an indication of 250 ±25 psi (1724 ±172 Pa) or less, go to step 4.
- If not, continue with next step.
- Disconnect Fire Extinguisher Container connector A111P4 and FIDEEX control unit connector A106P1. Perform a continuity check as follows:
From To Expected Result Result A111P4-3 Ground Open A111P4-2 Ground Open A111P4-3 A106P1-50 Continuity A111P4-2 A106P1-40 Continuity - If wiring defects are found, repair defective associated wiring as required and do close out.
- If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
- Replace the Fire Extinguisher Container. Is the fault still present?
- If YES, continue with next step.
- If NO, do close out.
- Replace the FIDEEX control unit.
- Do close out.
