Message Overview:

GND LIFT DUMP
(Caution)

DDG Reference: None
Pilot Action (QRH): ABNORM 8-16
System Description: 27-60-00
Schematic Diagram: 27-60-00 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]
Wiring Diagram: 27-60-10 [ Global Express ]  [ G5000 ]  [ Global XRS ]

Fault Description:

One of the conditions that follow occur:

  • The system is energized and the self-tests detect a valve blocked in the extended position.
  • During take-off or landing: GLD is not armed (loss or absence of automatic arm, or OFF switch) with an effect on a minimum of two pairs of spoilers (GS or MFS).
  • There is no GLD or the extension is slow for a minimum of two pairs of spoilers (GS or MFS). This condition is related to the failure of one position of a ground spoiler.
  • Two pairs of ground spoilers failed in retracted position. If the related hydraulic pressure is low, the GND LIFT DUMP (caution) does not show.
  • One pair of ground spoilers failed in the retracted position and one pair of multi-function spoilers failed.

Possible Causes:

  • Flight-Control Units
  • Brake Control Unit (BCU)
  • GND LIFT DUMP Switch
  • GS Selector Valve
  • Multi-Function Spoilers (MFS) Proximity Switch Sensor (PSS)
  • GS PSS
  • GS PCU
  • MFS actuator
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU)
  • Radio Altimeter Receiver Transducer
  • Throttle Quadrant
  • Associated Wiring
