Message Description:
The slats and flaps operate at half speed because of a fault condition in one channel.
NOTE:
- The SLAT HALFSPD (Advisory) message or the FLAP HALFSPD (Advisory) message shows when the effect is on only one system.
- A SLAT and/or FLAP fault message can show on the EICAS after many SFCU power-ups or SLAT FLAP reset on the EMS CDU without movement of the slats or flaps in between. In these specific cases, it is possible to reset these faults by moving the slat/flap control lever to another position.
Possible Causes:
- Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) (internal fault) (A95)
- Slat Flap Control Unit (SFCU) (internal fault) (A124)
- Single channel failure at one of the Flaps Wingtip Position (resolver) (MT67, MT72)
- Single channel failure at one of the Slats Wingtip Position (resolver) (MT77, MT78)
- Single channel failure at one of the Flaps Asymmetry Brakes (A128, A129)
- Single channel failure at one of the Slats Asymmetry Brakes (A130, A131)
- One Flap Skew Sensor (MT68, MT69, MT70, MT71, MT73, MT74, MT75, MT76)
- Single failure of one of the Flaps Motor/Brake Modules (B11, B12)
- Single failure of one of the Slats Motor/Brake Modules (B13, B14)
- Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Check status of AC 1 FEED on EMS CDU, the AC 1 Feed being out or tripped can drive multiple CAS to post.
BUS > AC 1 > AC 1 FEED.- If AC 1 FEED CB is IN go to step 3.
- If AC 1 FEED CB is OUT, set to IN.

- Did the CAIMS Fault & CAS messages clear after setting AC 1 FEED CB to IN.
- If YES, do close out.
- If NO, go to next step.
- Check status of AC 4 FEED on EMS CDU, BUS > AC 4 > AC 4 FEED.
- If AC 4 FEED CB is IN go to step 4.
- If AC 4 FEED CB is OUT, set to IN
