Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

When the conditions that follow occur and aircraft is not in a take-off or landing mode:

  • AFT XFER switch on the FUEL control panel is set to ON or to AUTO and the aft transfer is commanded on.
  • Left aft transfer pump pressure indication is low or the left aft transfer shutoff valve indication is closed.
  • Right aft transfer pump pressure indication is low or the right aft transfer shut-off valve indication is closed.
  • There is more than 100 lbs (45 kgs) of fuel in the aft tank.

  • Left Aft Transfer Pump (B34)
  • Right Aft Transfer Pump (B35)
  • Left Aft Transfer Pump Pressure Switch (S22)
  • Right Aft Transfer Pump Pressure Switch (S23)
  • Left Aft Transfer Shut-off Valve (L36)
  • Right Aft Transfer Shut-off Valve (L37)
  • FUEL Control Panel (AP5)
  • ACPC/SPDA/EMS
  • Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) (A47)
  • Associated Wiring

  1. If reporting LRU for this CAS message displayed in RED on the PMAT, select "No available CAIMS message" in the dropdown list.
  2. If no associated ACTIVE FAULT is displayed on the PMAT, select "No available CAIMS message" in the dropdown list.
