Fault Description:
The FMQGC and EICAS are set to different units (KGS/LBS).
This troubleshooting sheet is for aircraft with Imperial units (LBS)
NOTE: Aircraft that have complied with SB 700-31-027 have Metric units (KGS).
Possible Causes:
- Fuel Management and Quantity Gauging Computer (FMQGC) (A47)
- FMQGC wire strapping
- Configuration Module wire strapping
- Associated Wiring
Troubleshooting Tips:
Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:
- SB 700-31-027 - Conversion to metric units
Forum Articles/Infoservice/Newsletter: None
NOTE: Ensure the correct wiring diagram is used when checking the wiring per the tables below in the troubleshooting recommendation. Some aircraft do not have TM221 (Pre SB 700-28-029) they have wire splices to join the wiring together. Also confirm that the aircraft being worked is either set to Metric units (KGS) or Imperial units (LBS) see SB 700-31-027.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks (open circuit = failure) between the pins of the connectors that follow. Repair as required.
NOTE: Aircraft incorporating SB 700-28-029 will have TM221 installed. Aircraft 9115 through 9158 will have TM221 installed at factory.
