Troubleshooting Recommendations:
The L FUEL XFER ON (Status) CAS message does not display when WING XFER knob is in the --> position.
- Verify that the L WING FEED INHIBIT AUX PUMP is not set to ON.
- Power up the aircraft and the CAIMS PMAT.
- Access CAIMS.
- Select System Diagnostics.
- Select 28-00 Fuel.
- Select Computer (FMQGC CH A(B)).
- Select LRU Test.
- Select Cockpit fuel panel data (CH A(B))
- On the fuel control panel, rotate the WING XFER knob to -->. On the PMAtT fuel panel data page, does the L to R status change to TRUE?
- If YES, then go to step 6.
- If NO, then continue with the next step.
- Remove fuel control panel and disconnect AP5P1. Perform a wiring continuity check per the table below:
SWITCH POSTION FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT --> AP5J1 - 34 AP5J1 - 33 Continuity --> AP5J1 - 33 Airframe Ground Continuity - If the wiring checked good, then continue with the next step.
- If the wiring from AP5J1 - 34 to AP5J1 - 33 is not good, suspect the Wing fuel transfer switch (S1), or the fuel control panel (AP5).
- If the wiring from AP5P1 - 33 to airframe ground is not good, then suspect Ground Stud (GS852). Or associated wiring to it.
- Remove the FMQGC and perform the wiring continuity check below:
SWITCH POSITION FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT --> AP5P1 - 34 A47DP1 - E14 Continuity - If the wiring check is good, continue with the next step.
- If the wiring check is not good, then suspect wiring from Fuel Control Panel to FMQGC needs repaired or replaced.
- Re-rack or re-install the FMQGC making sure it is fully and properly pushed into place. Is the fault still present?
- If YES, then suspect the FMQGC (A47).
- If NO, then continue to next step.
- Do close out.
