Message Description:
The AOA 1 HEATER circuit has been detected open by HBMU 1.
Possible Causes:
- Interface wiring between AOA1 HEATER (either vane or case) and Heater/Brake-Temperature Monitoring Unit (HMBU) 1
- Angle-of-Attack (AOA) 1 Heater
- Heater/Brake-Temperature Monitoring Unit (HMBU) 1

Troubleshooting Recommendations:
- Perform wiring checks between HBMU1 and AOA1 Vane & Case heaters.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Measure the resistance of AOA1 Vane & Case heaters.
AOA vane heater = 30 ±10 ohms
AOA case heater = 30 ±12 ohms- If resistance within range, go to step 4.
- If resistance out of range, continue with next step.
- Replace AOA1.
- If system checks are good, do close out.
- If fault remains, continue with next step.
- Swap HBMUs
- Do close out.
