Fault Description:

The Right Yaw Damper Actuator Heater circuit has been detected opened by HBMU2.

Possible Causes:

  • Yaw Damper Actuator 2 Heater
  • Interface wiring between the Heater/Brake-Temperature Monitoring Unit (HMBU) 2 and Yaw Damper Actuator 2 Heater
  • Yaw Damper Actuator
  • Heater/Brake-Temperature Monitoring Unit (HMBU) 2

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between HBMU2 and yaw damper actuator 2 heater.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Measure the resistance of yaw damper actuator 2 heater.
    Yaw damper actuator 2 heater = 37.8 ohms ±10%.

    1. If resistance within range, go to step 4.
    2. If resistance out of range, continue with next step.

  3. Replace yaw damper actuator.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Swap HBMUs.
  5. Do close out.
