Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Engine start configuration does not operate.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Regulating Valve (PRV) failed in the open position
  • Right Regulating Valve (PRV) failed in the open position
  • Left Wing-Anti Ice Valve (WAIV) failed in the open position
  • Right Wing-Anti Ice Valve (WAIV) failed in the open position
  • Cross Bleed Valve
  • Left Bleed Leak Detection Loops
  • Right Bleed Leak Detection Loops
  • Bleed Management Controller
  • Associated Wiring

BMC NFF Action:

To support the technical investigation, FSRs and Service Centers are requested to perform an NVM download and complete a condition report and (BMC) PN GG546-1017-XX questionnaire when troubleshooting or removing a Bleed Management Controller (BMC) PN GG546-1017-XX.
NOTE: To avoid the display of any Bleed related CAS nuisance message after replacement of BMC due to internal failure, follow AW700-36-0365 instructions.

  • Proceed to a QAR (if available) download of the last three flights (Aircraft meeting FAR part 135.172), SB 700-31-020
  • BMC NVM download
