Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Remove the FMQGC and inspect the tray, connectors and pins. Make sure connector A47AP1 - G10 is not damaged, bent and is secured properly into place.

    1. If the check is good, continue with the next step.
    2. If the check is not good, rectify/replace as necessary.

  2. Pull the APU fire handle and do the wiring continuity check below:

    FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT
    A47AP1 - G10 Airframe Ground Continuity

    1. If the wiring check is good, go to step 5.
    2. If the wiring check is not good, continue with the next step.

  3. Remove the Fire Handle Panel (AP12) and disconnect A211P1. Perform wiring continuity check per table below:

    FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT
    A211P1 - 15 A211P1 - 4 Continuity
    A211P1 - 15 Airframe Ground Continuity

    1. If the wiring from A211P1 - 15 to A211P1 - 4 is not good then suspect the APU fire handle switch (A211).
    2. If the wiring from A211P1 - 15 to airframe ground is not good then repair or replace wiring from APU Fire Handle Switch to GS526, or GS526.
    3. If the wiring check is good, continue with the next step.

  4. Perform wiring continuity check per table below:

    FROM TO EXPECTED RESULT RESULT
    A211P1 - 4 A47AP1 - G10 Continuity

    1. If the wiring check is good continue with next step.
    2. If the wiring check is not good then repair or replace wiring from the APU Fire Handle Switch to the FMQGC.

  5. Re-install or re-rack the FMQGC making sure it is fully and properly pushed into place. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, then suspect the FMQGC.
    2. If NO, then go to next step.

  6. Do close out.
