Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Right over-wing emergency exit indicates that the exit is in a not closed and/or not locked condition.

Possible Causes:

  • Right Emergency Exit
  • Right Emergency Exit Latch
  • Right Emergency Exit Proximity Sensor (MT48)
  • Landing Gear Electronic Control Unit (LGECU) (A52)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring check of the RIGHT EMERGENCY DOOR PROXIMITY SENSOR wires between the LGECU connector A52AP1 and splice SP699 Check wiring between A52AP1 Pin C10 to SP699 and also wiring between A52AP1 Pin D10 to SP699.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform and inspection of splice SP699 contacts / pins as per wiring check.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a visual inspection of the wires / harness between RIGHT EMERGENCY DOOR PROXIMITY SENSOR and splice SP699.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Re-seat LGECU.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. Replace RIGHT EMERGENCY DOOR PROXIMITY SENSOR.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace LGECU.
  7. Do close out.
