Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. On the EICAS, are the L FADEC FAIL (Caution) or L FADEC FAULT (Advisory) CAS messages displayed?

    1. If YES perform the fault isolation for these messages first.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  2. Access CAIMS active or stored faults. Select displayed message from menu below:

    1. If no messages are displayed, continue with next step.

  3. Do the visual check of the engine controlling system.

    1. If defects are found, rectify as required.
    2. If no defects are found, continue with next step.

  4. Swap the left EEC with the right EEC. Is the fault still present?

    1. If YES, continue with next step.
    2. If NO, replace defective EEC.

  5. Perform the troubleshooting in the L FADEC FAIL (Caution) or L FADEC FAULT (Advisory) CAS message pages.
  6. Do close out.
