Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Right FADEC has been detected in overheat condition. Right internal EEC temperature monitor tripped.

Possible Causes:

  • Leaking Component on the Engine
  • Overheated Components on Engine
  • Right Engine Electronic Controller (EEC)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Select related CAIMS message below:

    1. If no messages are present, continue with next step.

  2. Perform a General Visual Inspection of the Engine.
    NOTE: Pay particular attention to the P30 tube coming from the EEC.
  3. Perform an Engine Run Leak Check.

    1. If no leaks are detected, continue with next step.
    2. If leaks are detected, rectify as required.
      NOTE: Pay particular attention to the P30 tube coming from the EEC.

  4. Inspect EEC 2 for signs of overheat.

    1. If there are no signs of overheat, continue with next step.
    2. If there are signs of overheat, investigate the reason and replace EEC.

  5. Replace the left EEC. You may swap EEC 2 with EEC 1 to confirm faulty unit.
  6. Do close out.
