WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Safety Valve 2 is detected not fully closed.

Possible Causes:

  • Safety Valve 2 (L11)
  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 2 (A18)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 (A21)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 Channel A
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

NOTE: If the Cabin Maximum Differential pressure has been exceeded, disregard the troubleshooting below and investigate the pressurization system.

  1. Perform water leak check of the water system and perform a wiring checks of the bilge valve.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
      NOTE: Water spilled from the aft water system may disturb the static port airflow and consequently partially open the safety valves.

  2. Perform wiring checks of the wire between the Safety Valve 2 and DAU 2.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Swap DAU 2 with DAU 1.

    1. If the system checks are good, replace the DAU 2 and do close out.
    2. If the fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. Replace CPC 1.
  5. Perform functional test of the safety valves.
  6. Do close out.
