These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 detects a problem with the PRESSURIZATION Control Panel.

Possible Causes:

  • Pressurization Control Panel (AP9)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 (A21)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Interchange CPC 1 with CPC 2.

    1. If system checks are good, replace CPC 1 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks of the wire between CPC 1 and PRESSURIZATION control panel.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. On the pressurization control panel, interchange relay K2 with relay K4.

    1. If system checks are good, replace relay K2 and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  4. On the pressurization control panel, interchange relay K1 with relay K3.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  5. On the pressurization control panel do a general wiring inspection and repair any defect. Check for damaged wire or unlock pins at AP9J1, AP9J2, on relay bases (K1, K2, K3, K4) and on switch AP9SDS1.

    1. If system checks are good, do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  6. Replace PRESSURIZATION control panel.
  7. Do close out.
