RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2 does not receive the ARINC 429 signal from CPC1.

Possible Causes:

  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 1 (A21)
  • Cabin Pressure Controller (CPC) 2 (A22)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks of the ARINC 429 wires going from CPC1 to CPC2.

    1. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.
    2. If wiring checks are not good, repair defective wiring as required and do close out.

  2. Connect a datatrack in parallel with the ARINC 429 receive signal from CPC1 to CPC2 A22P1-44 (-) and A22P1-50 (+). If data track not available go to next step.

    1. If data is not received, replace CPC2 and do close out.
    2. If data is received, replace CPC1 and do close out.

  3. Replace CPC2, if problem is still present reinstall original CPC2 and install replacement CPC in the #1 position.
  4. Do close out.
