Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

The Temperature Control Valve #1 position does not agree with the Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 command.

Possible Causes:

  • Left Temperature Control Valve (L23)
  • Left Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) (A87)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Interchange left Temperature Control Valve with right Temperature Control Valve.

    1. If system checks are good, replace left Temperature Control Valve and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  2. Interchange ACSCs.

    1. If system checks are good, replace the defective ACSC and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform wiring checks between the Temperature Control Valve and ACSC 1.

    1. Repair defective wiring and do close out.
