Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Message Description:

Message Description:Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 Channel A does not receive data from Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) #3.

  • Data Acquisition Unit (DAU) 3 (A30)
  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 (A87)
  • Junction Box (JB3)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Turn CAIMS ACTIVE off (no Black Dot) in View/Environment menu, Red screen in cockpit should extinguish.
  2. Wait a few minutes for systems to stabilize.
  3. Refresh CAIMS Active Faults Screen. Is message clear?

    1. If YES, continue with the next step.
    2. If NO, go to step 5.

  4. Perform advisory wire (AW700-21-0160) "PACK FAULT" CAS Message While CAIMS is Active. Is fault message clear?

    1. If YES, do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  5. Interchange DAU 3 with DAU 4. Is fault transferred or gone?

    1. If YES, replace the DAU 3 and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  6. Interchange ACSC 1 with ACSC 2. Is fault transferred or gone?

    1. If YES, replace ACSC 1 and do close out.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  7. Perform a wiring check between ACSC 1, DAU 3 and JB3. Is wiring check good?

    1. If NO, repair defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  8. Perform a continuity check of JB3.

    1. If there is continuity, repair defective associated wiring as required and do close out.
    2. If there is no continuity, continue with next step.

  9. Replace JB3.
  10. Do close out.
