Airborne dust from the carpet and the air inside the aircraft often builds up inside the Ventilated Temperature Sensors. Cleaning all three ventilated sensors regularly will prevent failures. Use a small paint brush, and a light vacuum.

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Ensure sensor has no obstructions clean and Access Systems Diagnostics and check if data is valid for current temperature conditions.

    1. If data is valid, do close out.
    2. If data does not match current conditions, continue with next step.

  2. Swap Aft Vent Temperature Sensor with Fwd Vent Temperature Sensor.

    1. If system checks are good, replace Aft Vent Temperature Sensor and do close out.
    2. If fault remains, continue with next step.

  3. Perform a wiring checks between Aft Vent Temperature Sensor and ACSC 1.

    1. If the wiring checks are not good, replace the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If the wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  4. Replace ACSC 1.
  5. Do close out.
