WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

The Fwd Cabin Temperature Selector located on the BLEED-AIR Control Panel has been detected out of range by the left Air Conditioning Controller (ACSC).

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller 1 (A87)
  • Fwd Cabin Temperature Selector (R2)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Perform wiring checks between ACSC 1 (A87) and the FWD temperature SELECTOR (R2) located on the BLEED-AIR Control Panel (AP8).

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  2. Perform wiring checks of the BLEED-AIR Control Panel.

    1. If wiring checks are not good, repair the defective associated wiring and do close out.
    2. If wiring checks are good, continue with next step.

  3. Measure FWD temperature potentiometer (R2) total resistance. Resistance should be 1000 ohms.
  4. Connect the Ohm meter on the potentiometer wiper. Rotate potentiometer slowly and make sure there is no dead spot on potentiometer or any other deficiencies.
  5. Replace ACSC 1.
  6. Do close out.
