RED MESSAGE (CAUTION)
AMBER MESSAGE (ADVISORY)
CYAN MESSAGE (STATUS)
WHITE MESSAGE Require immediate crew attention. These messages are accompanied by flashing master warning, triple chime attenson with or without voice message or dedicated tone. Require immediate crew awareness and future crew action may be required in the form of alternate system selection or performance limitation. These message are accompanied by flashing master caution and a single chime. Indicate safe or normal system operation which require crew awareness, over and above the dark cockpit philosophy. Indicate minor failures or reduction in systems capability, which require no crew action.

Fault Description:

Loss of communication between the cards in Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1.

Possible Causes:

  • Air Conditioning System Controller (ACSC) 1 (A87)
  • Associated Wiring

Troubleshooting Tips:

Advisory Wire/Service Bulletin:

  • AW700-21-0160 - "PACK FAULT" CAS message while CAIMS / OMS is active (Global Express - 9002 to 9153 and Global 5000 - 9127 to 9411, 9417 to 9431, 9998 and Global Express XRS - 9159 to 9429)
  • AW700-45-0065 - CAIMS Nuisance Fault Messages (Global Express - 9002 to 9153 and Global 5000 - 9127 to 9411, 9417 to 9431, 9998 and Global Express XRS - 9159 to 9429)

Troubleshooting Recommendations:

  1. Turn CAIMS ACTIVE off (no Black Dot) in View/Environment menu, Red screen in cockpit should extinguish.
  2. Wait a few minutes for systems to stabilize.
  3. Refresh CAIMS Active Faults Screen. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If YES, go to step 5.
    2. If NO, continue with next step.

  4. Perform advisory wire AW700-21-0160 "PACK FAULT" CAS Message While CAIMS is Active. Is the fault message still present?

    1. If NO, do close out.
    2. If YES, continue with next step.

  5. Replace ACSC 1.
  6. Do close out.
